What Causes Itchy Rash Across The Lower Abdomen?

Hi, I have had this rash across my lower belly for about 5-6 years. It comes and goes but never goes away. Sometimes it itches so bad I get in the shower and run scalding hot water on it. It would burn my other limbs, etc but feels good on the rash. I am a 52 year old male 5 8 220 lbs.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
An itchy rash on lower abdomen is commonly due to fungal infection.
However, the persistent nature of rash rules out the possibility of any infection.
The rash seems to be some chronic skin lesion.
A clinical assessment of the rash is required for diagnosing the condition.
Further investigations may also be required.
Inability to feel the hot water on the rash suggests that the sensations of the skin on the rash area are reduced.
I suggest you to consult a dermatologist for clinical assessment.

Thanks and take care
