What Causes Itchy Rash Immediately After Lying Down On Sand?
My husband developed an itchy (no painful) skin rash immediately after laying in the sand (no grass) to work on his trailor. It spread and became infected so he was given 2 steroid shots & a Medrol steroid pack & an antibiotic. About 7-10 days later he developed a hacking, dry, unproductive cough., a loss of appetite which has continued for 3 weeks and and the last week he has been having night sweats. His doctors have not given us a Dx...we are worried, he had a CT scan done 2 days ago which said, Predominantly apical groundglass opacities with several scattered nodules some with cavitation. A nonspecific finding. The differential diagnosis includes a hypersensitivity pneumonitis, histiocytoiss, or an infectious process. Please help.....
