What Causes Itchy Rash In An Infant Post Berry Consumption?

Hi doctor, my 15 month old baby has eczema when he was born but he is getting better now. Today, i did not know, i fed him 3 types of berries, rasberry, blueberry and black berry. Rightnow, he is itchy and has rash on his body, he cannot sleep. What should i do to relieve it? Should i give him more water?

Hi, since your child has history of eczema earlier, this appears to be a case of allergic reaction due to berry. In my opinion, you should give syrup cetrizine 3 ml three times a day and avoid berry. However, this is a prescription medicine, i advice you to meet the local doctor to confirm the diagnosis.
I hope this has helped you. If you do not have further clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wishing your child good health.
