What Causes Itchy Rash On Legs And Groin Area?

for nearly 2 weeks now i have had a rash in my groin and inside of leg, it was real itchy, i read it is a fungal infection through not drying properly and sweating a lot, (I work in africa, but have never suffered this before) I have never had this before, Monday I got some lamisil, it seems to be healing slowly, but now i have red raw spots all under my scrotum, that are burning , i am using antibacterial soap but the burning is unreal, when i put the shower on it hurts but don t want to take it off, as although it hurts and burns at the same time it relieves what is it?
