What Causes Itchy Rash Round Neck?

If it doesn t cost, yes you can. My husband has skin problems as it is - blotchy red spots, etc. - but lately he has a rash accompanied by major itching around his neck area. He has an appt. with the dermatologist soon, but not soon enough. He is rather miserable. Ideas?
