Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yesterday around 10:00pm I discovered a rash that covered my body. I was itching to the point I was crying in the shower. I took Benadryl. I did not change soaps of any kind, and ate my normal food. Didn t know if I need to go to the ER. Today, I still see the rash, still itching but not as bad as last night. I feel very thirsty and I feel like I can t focus. As if the room around me if moving. Is this worth going to the ER for?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Itchy rash all over the body is suggestive of a dermatological disorder like allergy or autoimmune disorder. A clinical assessment by a skin specialist is required to know the nature of the lesion. A Biopsy of the lesion may be required to confirm and to establish the nature of the lesion. Treatment can be started after confirming the diagnosis.
Thanks and take care Dr Shaila Puri
