Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have vaginal rashes, n also feel dry in this very area, to get rid of dryness I used mustard oil n sometimes ice also, but today when i realized the problem is not only dryness but got rashes over side areas n feel itching, sir i already have blood infection and taking medicine for that , if you can suggest me remedies for it i will be very thankful to you
What type of rash you have? Is it on the lips or inside? Any discharge?
An itchy rash there is most commonly caused by vaginal candidiasis- this may be associated with redness of vaginal mucosa (inside) along with some white curd like discharge. This is very common while taking antibiotics for other infections, because of changes in normal flora there.
If confirmed, this can be treated with clotrimazole pessaries, applied once daily for 3-5 days. Your doctor will guide you. Meanwhile, you can take antihistamines like levocetirizine 5mg at night for 5 days to relieve itching
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
