What Causes Itchy Rashes And Hives Between Thighs And Armpits Post Shaving?

I shaved my bikini area and days later I have a horrible itchy rash down there and in between where my thighs connect down below and last night developed hives on my inner thighs and near armpits and a cold sore developed on my lip could this be viral

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy rashes and hives between thighs and armpits post shaving which seems to be due to allergic reaction, hair follicle infection, environment change, heat , cold, pressure and sun exposure. It is the body's response to the trigger factor. It could be due to poor immunity of body. Need not to worry. The most important thing is to find the trigger factor. Stop using any cosmetics or beauty products. I would suggest you to give cold compresses to hives several times a day to prevent from swelling and itching and take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl. If symptoms still persists the consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may perform skin test and challenge to find out the trigger factor . Doctor may prescribe other steroid cream, anti inflammatory drug or drugs that can suppress immune system. Stay in cool environment .
