What Causes Itchy Rashes On Body While On Sulfamethoxazole?

47 year old male had 102 fever since yesterday and has itchy rash. Has been taking sulfamethoxazole since Monday due to finger tip laceration. would an allergic reaction to drug appear this late in the treatment course? Original laceration shows no sign of infection.

I really appreciate your concern, such allergic rash could be the medicine "Sulfamethoxazole" could be the likely cause, stop this and switch over to another antibiotic hope this information help care and have a nice day.
