What Causes Itchy Rashes On The Faces And Neck Despite Using Hydrocortisone Cream?
I have this itchy rashes on my face and neck about a month ago.Take ceterizine and already consumed 1 tube of hydrocirtusone cream for 1 mo. still itchy rashes there..on and off ichiness on the same area.Doctor said to take celestamine the other day and calmoseptine..still i feel the ichiness. Dont know what is this. Is this allergic contact dermatitis? Or should i consult an allergist or dermatologist? Pls. Help. Its affect my day to day activities since im working.
Hi. As per your case history you are having allergic dermatitis. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid using any new products like soap or perfume as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral steroid, hydroxyzine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
