What Causes Itchy Red Dots On The Arms, Legs And The Chest?
My mother has small red dots that itch on her arms, legs, chest, and back (both sides of her body). She has been nursing a wound which has almost healed but has taken a long time to heal due to edema in her left ankle area. She has high blood pressure which is treated with Losartan and ulcerative colitis which is treated with balsalizide and omeprazole. Does she have cellulitis, hives, allergies, shingles? The little red dots eventually form a little crust/scab. Any ideas?
Hi. As per your case history we need to get further details like - 1. What is duration of such skin rashes? 2. Whether the skin lesions are fluid filled or solid and what is size of lesions? 3. Is this the first time the rashes appeared?

Is this the first time the rashes appeared? Losartan and omeprazole are less likely to cause such rashes. You can take tab. Levocetrizine 5mg twice daily for itching and apply antibiotic cream like fusiderm on rashes. It is better to consult a dermatologist for perfect diagnosis and treatment. Thanks. Dr.harshit bhachech.
