What Causes Itchy Red Painful Rashes Behind The Knee, Legs And Fore Arms?
I have had an itchy red rash started on the back of my knee, took anti histamine with no effect then became red hot and mildly painful was given antibiotics taken for 4 days and steroids but not better, now spread to other leg and fore arms. The skin is red angry, itchy and painful
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy red painful rashes behind the knee, legs and forearms seems to be due to bed bugs, allergic eczema, and could be photodermatitis.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply cold compresses to the rashes, and take anti inflammatory and prevent it from sun exposure. Drink plenty of fluids. If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like clindamycin , immunosuppression and vitamin supplement for quick healing.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
