What Causes Itchy Red Rashes On Eyebrows And Upper-lips?

My husband has alopecia since a little boy with just patches of hair loss on his head, but a few months ago all his hair fell out including eyebrows and lashes, I mean everything. He is 38 years old. A week ago he started having a red rash on his eyebrows and upper lip that does not go away, it itch sometimes. The rash is smooth and a little swollen. It is bothering him a lot, he is not feeling sick but just tired, he works hard ( dentist) his family has history of lupus so I am a bit concerned

Look alopecia may be of various reasons. So he definitely need to be examined. Probably he is having some autoimmune hair loss. Here his body is unable to identify own hair as self. So body is rejecting them. But now a days treatment for alopecia has almost revolutionised. You consult your dermatologist. He will guide you.
