My scars now are sooo itchy and it became really red.. the affected area is like a chicken skin and the itchiness is really unbearable.. what do i need to apply to at least lessen the redness and itchiness?

Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

You seem to have developed Iriitation to the ingredients present in the ointment. This ointment which contains irritants like sulphur, salicylic acid and likely they are responsible for redness and itching.
If I was the treating doctor I would have asked you to use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate Or mometasone furoate, twice daily for a few days.
Topical steroids are antiinflammatory and would rapidly bring down the irritation and redness.
Topical steroids are prescription products.
An OTC oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10 mg once daily will provide you symptomatic relief from irritation and itching.

Regards
