What Causes Itchy Sensation In Chest, Back And Inner Ears While Coughing?

When I cough, or take very deep breaths....i get an extremely itchy sensation in my chest, neck, back, inner ears, upper arms & shoulders. A very see itch that drives me crazy, but actually scratching only helps a little since its mostly inside. Sometimes i cough on purpose just to scratch my lungs & chest inside. What s this mean?
