What Causes Itchy Skin On The Back, Legs And Arms?

Hi, for the past week I ve had skin itching, mostly on my back, legs and arms. Have been using benedryl gel, but it s been 7 days and you re not suppose to use it longer. Have also tryed cortizone 10. I think it may be just dry skin or a bug bite as it started right after I noticed a black + blue mark with a white center on my thigh. I m 70 y/0 and have just started using a body scrub in the shower. No changes in diet, new products . Thanks for any suggestions you can make

Hello,

For itchy skin all over the body, you can take non-sedating antihistamines, Levocetirizine for good relief. Take care of your hygiene, do not share your bedding or clothing with anyone.

Since you are not having any relieve after applying hydrocortisone ointment, you can apply Ascabiol lotion.

After having a shower & patting yourself dry, apply Ascabiol lotion in the area affected. Leave it for 45-50 minutes & then get a shower again. Repeat this after 15 days. It should get cleared.
