What Causes Itchy Sore On The Palm And Hands?

I have a reoccurring itchy sore on the palm of one hand. It itches and then splits open and very dry then gets sore and red and raw. Went to skin doctor and he said it was psoriasis and gave me propionate .05%. I use it and it does calm down and almost goes away then comes back. I work with the public in retail and have a customer with staph infection.

Hi,

As you said..you have dry scaly itchy fissured patches on palm of one hand. There may be possibilies of psoriasis, tinea manus, eczema or palmoplantar keratosis.etc But, you consulted dermatologist and according to him,it is psoriasis. Well, take treatment as he prescribed. Salicylic acid oint with steroid would be of great help. Cap acitretin 10 mg may be taken for long time. Vitamin E cap 400 mg might improve the condition. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
