General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

There can be atrophy of cutaneous cells via repeated and long term application of prescription creams which usually contain steroid in most instances. In my clinic, after adequate trial of anti histamine, needed antibiotics or supportive immune therapy, skin biopsy is last resort to diagnose the underlying root cause and manage accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
