What Causes Itchy Spots All Over The Body After Being Stung By A Bee?

Hi, I was stung on the chest by a bee over two weeks ago; my partner removed the stinger straight away. I took an antihistamine for several days after as my eyes felt heavy and my body ached a little. I developed a very sore itchy red rash all over my chest which lasted for about a week after; the sores became very crusty. This has now gone but the site of the sting is still sore, lumpy and itchy and I have small itchy spots over various parts of my body. Am I having a reaction to the sting?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that you might be having generalized systemic allergic reaction to bee bite.
Along with anti allergic medicine you might require one course of antibiotic medicine.
This will help to clear your infection.
Apply Caladryl lotion.
Ok and take care.
