What Causes Itchy Vulva And Anus?

Hi, I have lichen simplex for many years, it is not spread and well controlled with small amount of betaderm. I started to have itchy vulva about 4 months ago and itchy anus about 3 months ago. I tried antifungal therapy topically an per os, antibiotics topically, betaderm. Nothing helps. I am 50 y.o., healthy, do not have have allergy on food, no diabetes. I have Mirena about 6 years, recently changed to new one. In November I got 1 injection of depo provera for contraception, but later on decided to go back for Mirena because of depo provera side effects(significant night sweats). Itching started somewhere from July. For relieve, I use Benadryl cream. Itching is sometimes significand, can happen any time of the day. What would be your suggestion?

Hello,

First of all, I can recommend you to do a vaginal smear to check for infection and the cause of your irritation. Meanwhile, you can use Benadryl or Cetirizine for itching. Wash it outside with baking soda.
