Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Jaw Pain In Patients With Heart Palpitations?
My husband has had a history of heart palpitations, high choloestrol and high blood pressure. We've been to the ER and he had an ekg which came back negative. The doctor prescribed him medication for the high blood pressure and said it could likely be anxiety attacks. Last night he started having palpitations with jaw pain and is extremely worried. He has a follow up with his doctor tomorrow but I am curious if jaw pain can also be a physical symptom of an anxiety attack or if we need to go to the ER if he experiences it again before his appointment.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain and with your medical history I would like to tell you that you should consult a Cardiologist and get evaluated because heart palpitations and jaw pain can be experienced in patients who have a stroke, angina attack or myocardial infraction. It should be taken care of and a thorough investigation should be done under supervision of a Cardiologist as pain in jaw can be radiating pain from heart..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
