What Causes Joint Pain After Child Birth?

Hi, My ANA test is positive 1:160 and CH50 is low, HOWEVER, all other tests for automimmune including lupus are negative. I did give birth to my baby 2 months ago. Is it possible to get these results post partum and be healthy? Reason for the tests is joint pain.

Hello,

It could be osteoarthritis associated with pregnancy.

As a first line management you can take analgesics like tramadol for pain relief.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
