What Causes Joint Pain Along With Sore Throat And Rashes On Feet?
My son is 8 years old and has had some joint pain, sore throat and most recently a rash on the top of both feet. He is normally a very healthy child, but did have two bug bites that preceded these symptoms. Both ended up having a bullseye appearance, but we a pretty sure they aren t from tics.
* As per my clinical experience, the multiple joint pain, sore throat and rashes on feet , Bull`s eye appearance along that indicate most possibly Lyme`s disease or infestation with Ixodes tick which lives on white tailed deer or mouse.
My guidelines at present
- immediate removal of tick from the site
- keep the part clean with antiseptic liquid
- consult your primary care for prescription of antibiotic as amoxycillin or ceftriaxone (in case of allergy to mox ) analgesic as acetaminophen or others. Anti histamine for itching control
- watch for any extra features or ill effects of rash over rest of the body.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
