What Causes Joint Pain?

My oldest grandson just turned 30, father of 5, and totally committed to raising his family. He works a very demanding physical job and trys to stay up in the gym when he can. His general physical condition is good but is beginning to notice an unusual amount of joint pain in different parts of his body. Any ideas for meds or therapy? Vit D might help. What else? Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is possible that your grandson is experienced these joint pains because of overexertion as you have mentioned that he has a demanding job and he also does a workout in the gym. It would be advisable that he takes it easy for a few days and instead of the gym he can do daily brisk walking of thirty minutes which will help him to maintain his fitness and at the same time not cause much pressure on his body. He can take a calcium and vitamin D3 supplement to improve his bone health.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nazma.amman
