What Causes Joint Pains, Fatigue And Fever After A Suspected HIV Infection?

It s been 7 weeks now since I was exposed to a suspected HIV carrier. Until recently I haven t experienced any of the early symptoms but just a couple of days ago, I started experiencing joint pains, fatigue and fever. It s day 3 now and I m feeling a certain tenderness in my neck just below my left jaw. Could these be signs of me being infected?

Hello,

The tightness in the neck and jaw ,flu symptoms can be an early sign of HIV infection. You should get tested doing fourth generation HIV test. Also you may have not symptoms at all and also been infected.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
