What Causes Joints Pain And Dry Cough After Having Unsafe Intercourse?

Hi sir, this is anandh from India. 3 month before I had unprotected sex with unknown women. After that I am facing lot of problem like joint &muscle pain, dry cough, red spot on my shoulder , arms ,hands & chest. After 3 months tridot test result is negative, but still I have all the symptoms. Plz clarify doctor I am totally depressed.

Hello,

It looks like you have acquired Gonococcal Arthritis (STD). Visit ER, at the earliest, get examined by a PCP. You will have to go through a few tests like throat culture, urine, blood examinations along with STD tests. Get evaluated, get treated.

In the meantime abstain from sex, avoid multiple partners. Stay away from addictions if any, take care of hygiene. You need antibiotics/antivirals. Your treatment will depend upon the severity of the infection. Get treated complications may cause risk of HIV/AIDS.
