What Causes Joints Pain And Fainting After Treated Food Poisoning?

Hello Doctor,

Mid 2007 I had very bad case food poisoning in Freetown W. Africa and was quite ill for several weeks during which time I was taken advantage of financially. This I mention because it was start of stress which continues

Since then I have had:

Several instances dropping unconcious.

Muscle and joint pain which remains sometimes using sticks but not giving in to it.

Tiredness

Eye problems

Loss of weight no explanation about 20lbs in 2009. Weight stabilised until this year where I am again losing with about 8lbs to date.

Change in temper

Started losing voice on temporary basis about 2 years ago and have had sore throat for 1 year with food starting to catch in throat again since January this year.

Had attack shingles 1 year ago.

Last blood test (taken when had throat looked at 8th March) showed reduced platelet level.

Previously fit person with high blood pressure but otherwise healthy.

It has been suggested by friend that I may have thyroid problem as my mother did have one and also brother. Not sure if I have ever been tested but, to be quite honest, am really fed up going to the clinic and getting no answers.

Your opinion will be gratefully received.

Thankyou

John
