What Causes Joints Pain In The Legs And Feet Post A Spinal Fusion Surgery?

Hi , I recently had spinal surgery fusion with instrumentation 4/12 and have begun a work hardening program. My problem is this I have gained 6lbs within one week , my joints hurt , legs , feet and hands feel tight. I have been watching what I eat as well . Very concerned with the steady climb in weight . It appears to be a couple of pounds per day

Hi,

It may be due to nerve compression developed after the surgery.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Gabapentin that is quite effective for neuropathic pain.

If pain persists, better to consult a neurologist and be evaluated.
