What Causes Knee And Digit Swelling With Pain?

My Husband has Cll and has had it now for 5 years, he is 49 this year so quite young to have this condtion, just latley he has he quite severe pain and swelling in his knee & finger Dctor sent him for an xray which showed no issue, I just can help feeling his isese may have take the next step
