What Causes Knees And Hands Pain And Dripping Nose After Delivery?

Hi i just had my third baby 6 weeks ago but every since i gave birth my hands knees hurt alot during the night they get locked up and i have to slowly move it and some kind of exercise to get through it and i also have been dripping liquid from nose just suddenly it comes out like very fast i don't even know when it's going to come out its just suddenly

Hi,
I understand your concern.
- The post delivery pain in knees & hands is mostly due to stress of child birth. bearing down pains during child birth does cause lot of stress,stretching of body .
- calcium deficiency adds to this ,and results in muscle & joint involvement.
* A good body massage along with rest &anti inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen paracetamol group along with calcium supplementation/ high protein nutritive diet helps..
- The nasal dripping suggests inflammation ( allergic/infective) of nasal tissue causing increased secretions & drip. Though it does not have specific connection with delivery, may be aggravated due to post delivery weakness.
* such condition is usually treated by levocetrizine group of drugs along with crosin to control pain/inflammation.(antibiotics are given in case there is infection.infection.)
Gentle blowing of nose/ avoidind exposure to cold, allergens should be done.
Consulting an ENT specialist for physical examination ,investigations & specific treatment is worth.
