What Causes Knot On The Back Of Head After An Injury?
My friend slipped and hit his head at the gym so hard he developed a HUGE knot on the back of his head. He was feeling better and went back to the gym and lifted weights and felt a pop in his head, now he doesn t feel right. Should he be worried it could be something very serious?

it can be just a haematoma on the outer skull, which will normally go away by itself. It should be kept cool (ice packs) and you can get heparine as ointment. However, if there is any dizzyness , headache (pop in the head?) or nausea or his pupils appear to have different size you should consult an ER immediately to check for inner bleedings.
