What Causes Knots And Pain Inside Thigh After A Fall?

I had a fall from about 3 feet the end of November. I never had any bruising but I have two knots deep inside my thigh that are so painful I can t stand it. There has been no easing ing of this issue since the fall I ll get xrays and doctors and everyone has blown me off and said its nothing to worry about yet this pain is continuous and keeps me up all night. occasionally white-hot pain shoots to these two spots and it takes my breath away. please tell me if there s anything I can do to improve the situation.I know I have a pinched nerve and AM scheduled to get an epidural next Tuesday but that doesn t explain these knots and constant pain. There is no weakness of leg or decrease in range of motion.

Hi,

The knots and pain deep inside your thigh may be related to the fall you had in November. It is possible that you sustained a muscle injury or contusion that has resulted in the formation of scar tissue or adhesions. Scar tissue is a type of connective tissue that forms when there is damage to muscle fibers. Adhesions occur when scar tissue binds to surrounding tissues, causing them to become stuck together.

If your pain is continuous and severe, it is important to seek medical attention to determine the cause of your symptoms. Your healthcare provider may recommend imaging tests such as an MRI or ultrasound to visualize the affected area and determine the extent of the injury.

Treatment options for muscle injuries and adhesions may include physical therapy, massage therapy, or medication to manage pain and inflammation. In some cases, surgery may be necessary to remove scar tissue or repair damaged muscle fibers.

In addition to medical treatment, there are several things you can do at home to improve your symptoms. To alleviate inflammation and pain you can apply hot or cold compressed at the affected area. Gentle stretching and exercise can also help prevent further muscle damage and promote healing.
