What Causes Labial Itching And Discharge?

Hi. I have been having labial itching and discharge. I am wondering if this is related to my recent dx of HPV given to me about two weeks ago? I have read tons of information since the dx and more informed and much more confused. My doctor told me that most HPV go away on their own. I read that they go away, but they are dormant. So does this mean that I am always infected and a potential threat to any future sex partner? Please help clarify this for me. Thanks.
