What Causes Lack In Sexual Drive And Red Colored Semen?

hi doc, i usually drink alot of beetroot juice but a month ago my semen was in light red colour and yesterday my semen was in red colour. i have lower back pain, my intererest over sex is now decreased i am taking esparol tablet from my deadiction centre so whats happening to me. please help

Hi,

Colour of semen could change based on the intake of food and medications. However, since you are having other associated symptoms, it would be advisable to do the following investigations.

1. Semen analysis.
2. Serum testosterone levels.
3. Trans-rectal ultrasound scan for prostate and urinary bladder.

Kindly consult Urologist with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
