Hello,
You had
miscarriage and it had been managed by your treating doctor. After that you did not have periods. Presently, you are not having periods. Commonly, after
dilation and curettage (D and C), body takes time to recover. Sometimes, periods may come after 6 weeks also. Give time to your body to recover.
Take home made balanced food rich in iron, minerals and proteins. Stay at rest and avoid stress. If you have been sexually active and had unprotected sex you can be pregnant. Get a
pregnancy test done with the first morning mid stream urine.
If you are pregnant you will be managed accordingly. If not, other factors that can cause lack of
menstruation are anemia, poor general health condition, hormonal imbalance,
thyroid dysfunction, Asherman's syndrome, etc. Get clinically examined by a gynecologist, you will have to get few required blood tests and imaging tests done. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
