What Causes Lack Of Blood On Tampon But Bleeding Upon Removing It?

Hello! So I started my period a week ago. It been a very light period. And these last few days I ve noticed there is no blood on my tampon when I take it out. But when I take it out I immediately start to bleed. What is causing this and should I be concerned at all? Thank you!
