Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a male, age 65 and have noticed that I no longer discharge any ejaculate after intercourse. Is this normal as you age. I also think I have an enlarged prostate as I urinate 2-4 time every night. Also taking .4 MG Tamsulosin daily before bedtime as prescribed. Not doing a monthly subscription...
hello user , i understand your concern . your problem is seemingly related to the use of tamsulosin which is an alpha adrenergic blocker drug used for prostatehyperplasia - upto about 30 % of patients experience ejaculatory difficulties with tamsulosin as per one study - however this does not pose any serious problem in most of the cases - the ejaculation is usually resumed after stopping the drug - there are some non selective alpha blockers like terazosin daxazosin which have lower incidences of ejaculatory difficulties , but the treatment decisions should be taken by your treating doctor and you should report this issue to him/her. hope i answered your query - if satisfied please rate the answer - any followup queries are welcome
