What Causes Lack Of Energy When BP Reading Indicate 89/65?

My husband has no energy today. He was seen by his cardiologist in January, and he weighed 245 lbs and they increased his Enapril to 2 - 10 mg tabs daily. since then he had rotater cuff surgery, and has lost 27 lbs. Now no energy, and his blood pressure today was 89/65, but his pulse was 156. He has history of Afib, and had an ablatation 10/15. He has not gone back into Afib since, but he is very hard to feel his pulses to see if he is back in afib or just elevated pulse.

Hi,

It is due to fall in blood pressure. He is suffering from hypotension and due to that, he feels lack of energy.

Do one thing feed him tea with a tinge of salt and feed him good carbohydrate-rich diet.

Feed him juices as well, like a lemon drink with salt and sugar.

However, it is better to get him examined so take him to the emergency room for proper evaluation and accordingly he will be initiated a proper drug therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Soheel Hussain Zargar,
