What Causes Lack Of Response To Questions And Body Numbness?

two days ago my father was rush to the hospital coz he is experiencing numbness in his body but can talk though his comprehension seems getting slow....now he can move his hands and body but the thing is he dont react with what their saying when you ask him about something he will not have any reaction at all though hes looking at you...just curios what happen to my father...is this a stoke...thanks
