Sleep disturbances can sometimes have a significant effect on function.
To help normalize your sleep cycle you may need: (1) sleep hygiene habits. You should be able to find a form/handout detailing the different parts of sleep hygiene. This refers to different practices that affect sleep. If you are able to put these in place, they may help you sleep better.
(2)medications- there are a number of different medications for sleep disorder. Some help people to fall asleep, some to stay asleep, some both Your doctor would be able to prescribe one of these for you.
(3)in some persons , a sleep study and cognitive behavioural therapy to change any thought processes that may be affecting sleep
I hope this helps
