What Causes Lapse Of Memory While Suffering From Sinus Infection?

I am a mother of a 2 year old and tend to forget things. Well tonight I set my amoxicillin on table while I was eating. I didn't think I took one already so I took as I was eating. Something got me worried and I counted out the pills and I think I must have already taken one before I sat down to eat. The bottle says Amox/K Clav 875-125 mg. I've just got a sinus infection and supposed to take 2 a day for 7 days. It's 11:00pm where I am now, worried its going to mess up my sleep and was going to take a benadryl. Am I ok??

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of lapse of memory while suffering from sinus infection means you are suffering from condition known as sinusitis. I would suggest you to take nasal decongestant sprays, Antihistamines and antibiotic combination as infection is present.

Memory loss is probably not related to sinusitis , so i would suggest you to consult neurologist for it , who may order CT scan or MRI of brain . Amoxiclav is best treatment option for sinusitis . You should take steam inhalation. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Go for para nasal sinus X ray and get puncture and drainage of sinus if required.

You can go for surgical reconstruction of opening after proper prescription. Do warm saline gargles.
