What Causes Large Areas Of Aeration In The Mastoid Air Cell?

Hi, I had a ct scan w and without contrast. the result showed large areas of aeration in the left mastoid air cell which they think may be a congenital variation. I have a lot of headaches, could this be the cause? And what other symptoms could his cause, if any, and is this a bad thing or just a variation of normal??
