What Causes Large Bruise And Petechiae On Outer Thigh And Abdomen?
Hi, I m a 27 year old female, and for the past couple of weeks I have been bruising quite easily, mostly on outer thighs and buttocks.They are lumpy and very large, the smaller ones are about the size of a quarter and the larger has about the same diameter as a pint glass. Not hot to touch but painful. Also, i have been extremely tired, experiencing dizzy spells and light-headedness.I also have a lot of petechiae on my inner left thigh, and on my abdomen and now it s starting to spread onto my lower back and down my legs. It s not painful or itchy. It hurts if I put pressure on them but nothing terrible. Is there anyway to get rid of the petechiae while I wait for an appointment with my PCP? Or is does this seem like something that I should try to get a sooner appointment for- I have an appointment in 20 days. Thanks!

As per my clinical experience, the easy bruising can be related to various possible conditions as:
- Auto immune disorders with destruction of certain cell types or maldevelopement
- Coagulation pathway disturbances including that of intrinsic or extrinsic pathway of liver
- Coagulation factor deficiency including fator II, VII, IX, X or vitamins C or S (activated part)
- Platelet disorders in terms of low count, abnormal morphology
- Presentation of other pathology as systemic lupus erythematous or else
It is advisable to wait for 20 days till doc appointment, taking care of not to injury yourself during this period to prevent abnormal bleeding. There are no specific medications, which you can consume at this point for this disorder.
