What Causes Large Bump In Vaginal Area?
Hi. My daughter and I recently have been getting large cyst like bumps in our vaginal area(s). They come and go. I am wondering what could be the cause and how to get rid of them. Any info on this would be very helpful to both of us. My daughter is 8 yrs old, and I am 40. Thank You!! :)

Bumps around vagina could be caused by STIs like syphilis and herpes, local vaginal infection by bacteria or fungi.Skin irritation is another cause though less likely in your case given recurrence. An STI is a more likely cause if you and your Daughter bath together or use common bed pans/bathing buckets.I will suggest you see the Doctor to examine the bumps and run syphilis and herpes test on you guys. From examination, your Doctor may also eliminate fungal causes.
I will however advise good genital hygiene.
