What Causes Large Bumps On The Arms?

I ve gotten this weird mark on my arm about 2 or so weeks ago. It s a large bump (wide, but not very thick) and has multiple holes on it and around it. Since it was scabbed over at the time, I thought it might have been dry skin or something, so I covered it with a bandaid and left it alone. I changed the bandaid last week, and did again today, but I found that the mark spread to the edges of the bandaid. The original mark is scaled over, and the newer ones are light pink with a darker red around them. I don t think it s an allergic reaction, seeing as I haven t been shown to be allergic to anything, and it s on the back of my arm. Is it some sort of bug bite? Is it something to even be worried about?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction. I recommend using daily antihistamines such as Levoctirizine daily. I also recommend using hydrocortisone lotion for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
