What Causes Large Clots In Periods?

I got off depo in march had ultrasound everything was good. Started bleeding Aug 1. And thought I d wait it out have a few normal cycles. I was having extremely large clots the size of oranges. Gave in went to Dr had blood count down to a 7. Got a transfusion. Went to obgyn did both internal an external ultrasound and as soon as she puts probe on stomach you can clearly see a gastational sac with some fluid. All blood work says no pregnancy. Dr was conflfused because I had all signs an symptoms of being pregnant. Hard belly dark nipples nausea.... D&e and sent it away didn t know what it was....

Your blood clots could have been a missed abortion, which is why may be only a gestational sac was seen without a fetal pole. I think it is quite clear, if I am not mistaken due to lack of further information.
