What Causes Large Clots To Discharge During Menstruation?

i have just started the depo injection ( around a month ago) i have just had a light period however not much blood. on the second day though i passed two large 'clots'. they where not bloody at all. they where white/pink and quite solid. I have never had this before. I am 23, normal height/weight and have a 4 year old child
