What Causes Large Cyst Like Bump Behind Neck?

Hi I have a large cyst likebump on the back of my neck appears to be filled with puss at least most of it it has grown recently and is becoming painful, what is it Ive had the bump quarter size for about twnty years but dr said not painful or bother me leave it be It is now bigger than a half dollar in size
