What Causes Large Itchy Bumps On Legs?

Hello, I have these big mosquito bite type bumps popping up all over my legs along with little red dots, I measured the big bumps with a ruler and they re all about 3.5 inches around top to bottom side to side. They re hard, extremely itchy, and feverish. I have two on my upper right thigh, one on my right shin, one on the right calf, one behind my left knee, and another on my left ankle. I ve never broke out like this before. I ve tried putting Hydrocortisone on them but it s not helping. And I m not allergic to anything but penicillin, so I m not sure what caused this. They began popping up last night while I was outside drawing, I had felt like I was being bit by mosquitoes, so that s what I intentionally thought they were, until this morning when I saw how big they were and throughout the day the began to itch more and more.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of large itchy bumps on legs which occurs due to mosquito bites leading to infection and inflammation of follicles.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start with application of aloe vera gel and apply topical antibacterial cream such as Betnovate. Avoid itching and pricking rashes. Avoid exposure to sunlight and keep areas clean and dry. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist once and get it examined. You should go for antibiotics(Clindamycin) along with corticosteroid ointment.
