What Causes Large Lump On The Lower Buttocks?

I ve had a very large lump on my lower butt cheek for quite sometime.Its about the size of a baseball with a somewhat looking this blister in center of it.kinda scared and embarrassed to be seen by doctor.When I first noticed it about 2years ago,it was only size of small golf ball.What should I do?
